Our Goal Is a Website That Is Easier to Use for More People
Florida Mold Response aims to provide a website that is usable across common devices, screen sizes and input methods. This statement describes our accessibility approach without claiming a certification or audit that has not been completed.
Design Practices We Aim to Maintain
Readable Structure
Pages should use clear headings, short sections, descriptive labels and layouts that remain understandable when read in sequence.
Keyboard Access
Navigation, accordions, menus, form controls and interactive tools should remain operable by keyboard where technically practical.
Responsive Layouts
Content is designed to adapt across desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes rather than requiring one fixed viewport.
Clear Contrast
Text, buttons and interactive states should use visible contrast and avoid relying on color alone to communicate essential meaning.
Known Limitations May Occur
Third-party widgets, embedded content, external review platforms, maps or plugins can introduce accessibility limitations outside the direct control of the page design. We aim to choose and configure tools responsibly, but cannot guarantee that every external service meets the same accessibility goals.
Need Help Using the Site?
If a menu, tool, form or page is difficult to use, call Florida Mold Response at (888) 941-7377. When reporting an issue, identify the page and the task you were trying to complete so the problem can be reviewed.
Accessibility Is Part of Site Maintenance
As new tools, menus, images and plugins are added, accessibility should be rechecked rather than treated as a one-time task.
Images
New homepage and service images should use meaningful alternative text when the image conveys information. Decorative images should not add unnecessary spoken clutter for assistive technology users.
Forms & Tools
Form fields should have visible labels, error messages should be understandable, and interactive tools should be usable without requiring a mouse wherever technically practical.
Navigation
Desktop mega menus and mobile accordions should expose clear focus states, predictable keyboard behavior and readable link text so visitors can reach services and local coverage without relying only on hover interactions.
Tell Us Where You Encountered a Barrier
If any part of the website is difficult to use, the most useful report includes the page URL, the feature involved and what you were trying to accomplish.
Page or Feature
Identify the page, menu, form, Service Diagnose Tool, Service Area Finder or other website feature where the problem occurred.
What Happened
Describe whether the issue involved keyboard access, screen-reader output, focus order, text visibility, mobile layout, form labels or another interaction problem.
Alternative Contact
If the website itself is preventing you from requesting service, call Florida Mold Response directly at (888) 941-7377.
